The Equinox is a Celebrity Cruises ship built by Meyer Werft in Germany. She is the second of 5 Solstice-class ships, which are all owned and operated by Celebrity. Here sister ships are the Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Solstice,Celebrity Reflection, and the Celebrity Silhouette.

Celebrity Equinox entered commercial service for Celebrity Cruises on July 31, 2009 and is scheduled to undergo an extensive refurbishment and dry dock in May 2019. At this time she will get plenty of new suites and her Michael's Club will be transformed into an exclusive Retreat Lounge for suite passengers. The Cellar Masters wine bar will be converted into a gastro bar; and her Oceanview Cafe buffet restaurant will be reconfigured in an open, marketplace style.
